How We Teach Differently
Most investment courses throw theory at you and hope it sticks. We start with real company financials from day one. You'll work with actual annual reports, analyze genuine balance sheets, and practice the same methods professional analysts use.
Each week builds on the last. We don't rush through concepts. Instead, we give you time to practice each skill until it becomes second nature. And when you struggle with something (everyone does), your instructor works with you directly to figure out what's missing.
- Case-based learning using real Canadian and international companies
- Small cohorts with maximum 18 students per instructor
- Weekly feedback on your analysis and investment thesis development
- Access to financial databases used by professional analysts
- Portfolio simulation where you track and defend your investment choices
What You'll Learn Over Six Months
The program runs for 24 weeks starting September 2025. You'll spend about 10-12 hours weekly on coursework, case studies, and analysis. By the end, you'll have a portfolio of investment analyses you can actually show people.
Financial Statement Fundamentals
You start by learning to read financial statements like a professional. We cover income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You'll practice spotting red flags and understanding what numbers actually tell you about a company's health.
Valuation Methods and Company Analysis
Now you learn how to value businesses. We teach discounted cash flow models, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. More importantly, you learn when each method works and when it doesn't.
Risk Assessment and Portfolio Construction
Understanding risk separates good investors from lucky ones. You'll learn how to measure different types of risk, assess your own tolerance, and build portfolios that match your objectives without taking unnecessary chances.
Independent Analysis and Presentation
The final phase is where everything comes together. You choose three companies to analyze deeply, build investment theses, and present your findings. Your instructor challenges your assumptions and helps you refine your thinking.
